then ordered up the left side of the valley and along the side of the mountains opposite the enemys lines with orders to gain their right flank and then storm their works. but before we had advanced for enough to make the assault the order was countermanded and we ware ordered to counter-march. We ware then ordered to halt and rest and we set down for a 1/2 hour during which time the enemy ware throwing shot and shells at us thick and fast but providentially none of our Regiment ware hurt.
