Jan 15. Raining and sleeting all day which makes evrything look gloomy. Another case of Small pox brought in from the 51st Ohio Regiment. Word is that we will go back to camp Soon. glad to hear it. Received a letter from Wm Vanscozoe tonight news good and cheering from home. Jan 16th Cold and froze some last night. Heavy sleet on trees. removed the Small pox cases one mile further from Camp and ordered the rest of us back to our old
