Wrote a letter to Sally also one to brother Ferman. Feb 10 Started on the march at 8 Oclock A.M. Marched 12 miles and encamped. Country not verry good as the soil is thin and country rolling. Weather quite warm and clear. Feb 11. Weather Stormy and snowing. bad day to march. marched 5 miles which brought us within
