today than I ever saw in my life put all together. The Reg. did not wait for us and about 9 Oclock the waggons all stuck fast in the mud and being in the woods we could go no further consequently we lay down on the leaves and stayed until morning of Feb 26th. It rained hard last night consequently we did not get much rest. We helped the wagons 2 miles when we come to the pike. Marched 6 miles to where the Reg. camped last night. Stoped & cooked dinner and was preparing to go 5 miles further and
