About one house in evry ten is occupied by the owners. the remainder have been occupied by the secesh soldiers who have burned up nearly every rod of fence in the town, and it almost makes one shed tears to see the beautiful & costly dwellings thrown open to the mod to pillage and destroy and their once beautiful grounds and yards turned out to the commons.
