March 10. Weather rainey all forenoon but cleared off mild and pleasant in evening. Are camped in a beautiful situation and an excellent country. I am officer guard. March 11th. Weather beautiful. Nothing new in camp today. Received a letter from Sally, also one from M Hollingsworth. March 12. Beautiful weather. At 1/2 past 11 Oclock ware ordered to strike tents immediately.
