32 Feb. 4 1886. Society met according to appointment with Mrs. Cook, although the them stood 30" below zero, seven ladies were present. The meeting was called to order by the Pres. followed by reading of minutes. The subject to be discussed E. H. H. The beauty of her life and womanly character were ably presented by Mrs. Jackson. Mrs. Rathbun favored us with two of her choice poems, one being the last published. A eulogy on her life was read by Miss. Durham "Duly Speak Good of the Dead" "The Dragon" "My Legacy" and "Coronation" were rendered by other members of Club, to the delight of all. Mrs. Latham's paper was read by Miss D. and the congressional news given by Mrs. M. Mrs. J. B. Youngs letter of acceptance was read. The committee gave in subject for next meeting. "Moon and Stars" Society adjourned to meet two weeks from above date with Mrs. Hindman. Pres. Mrs. R. M. Jackson Sec'y Mrs. G. Cook
