1 Oct. 17th 1916 Miss Marsh led the Devotional meeting. Minutes read and approved. Miss Buck gave a very interesting account of the State Con. at Ft. Dodge. She also visited the Benedict Home at Des Moines. A barrel was packed at this meeting containing 45 qts. of fruit, clothing and some new material--valued at $20. also 2 in case for B. Home. Mrs. [Lord?] as sec. Nov. 21, 1916. The Grinnell W.C.T.U. met at the Friends' church with--Mrs. Lincoln in the chair. Mrs. Stoddard led the Devotional exercises. Miss Buck [illegible] the thanks of the B. Home for the barel. Miss Jennie Bailey moved to appropriate $1.00 to the Wom. Civ, League. also $1.25 for Union Signal and Young Crusader to the Library Mrs. Steiner spoke on the Woman's Peace Party in Grinnell--their aims, etc. Mrs. Fowler sang "Help Someone Today" very helpful and pleasing.
