September 18, 1917 The W.C.T.U. met in the Baptist Church with 10 Members present. Opened the meeting by singing "My Faith looks up to thee" Mrs Richards read the 121 Psalm and Mrs Brande led in prayr. Minutes of last meeting read and approved. Mrs Watland Reported our failure to have a Rest tent on the Fair ground this year. President ask what we would do about having a float to represent our Union in the Temperence Parade on October 15 Mrs Stocks appointed to see to it and chose her helpers. Report from Mrs McGuin of Comfort bags made for the Navy 24 bags made at a cost of $24.10 she recieved from Treas. $17.00. Mrs Watland suggested we help in the State work. our programe the world for temperence by Mrs Effie Stocks was very interesting she told of the important Federal Anti Liquor laws and the wonderful news that Porto Rico is going dry. Voted to pay $2.75 to Mrs Lincoln cost of Programes. Meeting closed by repeating the Mizpah.
