The W.C.T.U. met on April 9 1918, with 16 members present, meeting opened by singing "My faith looks up to Thee" and "Yield not to Temptation". Mrs Stocks read the 104 Pr, and spoke of Gods great love and care for us. Mrs Brande led in prayer followed by others. Mrs Lincoln reported 34 glasses of jelly and 18 quarts of jam rent to the soldiers at Camp Cody New Mexico. Miss Buck reported $33,80, as procedes of own market day, Mrs Lincoln read a letter from Mrs Anna Gorden asking the Union to buy Liberty Bonds. Mrs Lincoln distributed the Mil of Lines cards to those present, Mrs Stodard had the Programme "Signs by the way" She told us it takes 11 million dollars a year to run the Government and 2 million a year is spent for liquor. 11 states have ratified the Prohibition Amendment, Mrs Stodard appointed to get Temperence Lituration in the local papers ,,adformed by repeating the migpah. Mrs Brande led the meeting, she read the 12th chap. of Romans and told us what a wonderful missionary Paul was after a very helpful talk Mrs Brande led in prayer. Minutes of last meeting read and approved, our state President asks the to buy a set of Temperence Posters which are a help in our work and have them placed in some prominent windows. Mrs Stodard appointed to see to the posters being put in place. Sec. instructed to phone Miss Buck, to phone Mrs Bowen that we will buy posters for our Union - alas that we cannot hold Convention on the 6 and 7 of June, and that we must give up the Medal Contest, Cards en Flowers on Flourmission day to be rent to Oakdale this year.
