The Grinnell W.C.T.U. met in the Cong. Chruch on August 20 to hold the annual meeting. 7 members present.Meeting opened by singing "Jesus Saviour Pilot one". Mrs. Stocks led the Devotional she told us how the good shepherd gives his life for the sheep followed by prayer. Minutes of last meeting read and approved, Mrs. Bailey reported about the interview with the Mayor and City Attorney in regard to the Picture Shows keeping open on Sunday The matter was brought before the City Council and will be brought up at the Sept. term of Court. Anti Cigaret Literature was distributed to all the Sunday schools. Mrs. Bailey reported on Sabbath observence. Report of Sec. read and the Union kindly gave Sec. quote of thanks for work during the year Mrs. Lincoln read a letter from the soldiers Hospital at Fort Des Moines telling us that Pillows would be thankfully recieved.
