May 18, 1920 The W.C.T.U. met on the third Tuesday of May at its usual place of meeting. Meeting opened by singing Blest be the Tie that Binds and Stand Up, Stand Up for Jesus. Mrs Eichorn read the scriptures with reference touching on motherhood and exhorting to what it means to be a real mother. Three prayers were offered. The secretary report was read. Treas. report was not giving [sic] owing to the absent [sic] of Miss Buck. A bill of $.50 [$.20?] was allowed for the hand books. and an order given for the same. Also order given for $1.50 to Mrs. Robb Lincoln for flowers for Mrs Sticks husband. It was moved and seconded after a short discussion that Mrs. Kirk be Supt. of Childs Welfare Work. Under the new buisness [sic] the report of what had been done on the essay was given by Mrs. Kearney. She was appointed to present the prize to the one having the best essay. Mrs Kearney had the study and gave an interesting talk touching on the topics given under discussion in our Topical Programs. There were eighteen present. Members were requested to take flowers to Miss Sadie Clark to be distributed to the hospital at Oak Dale. Mrs. G. W Richards Sec.
