158 The June meeting met at the Presbyterian church on Tuesday June 17- 1924. There were forty present. Meeting called to order in an officially manner and the usual singing and after which Mrs. Hess commented and read the 146th Psalm exhorting and applying its beautiful truths to our daily walks. Our president read a selection One accord keep [gleven?] out. After the devotionals President took up our business part of meeting. Reports of different committees were read. Mrs Kearney awarded the prizes on poster work. A committee was appointed to confer with the council to see what can be done about closing Sunday movies. President appointed the committee. Miss Childs bring change of program read a letter from Miss Jones making an appeal for the sick soldiers Attention was called to the county convention to be held in Malcom. Every body urged to attend. President read a letter from State president It was officially decided to send a reply to Mrs. Smith The day program was on Our flag Mrs. Woodburn and Words read a selection Also Mrs. Watters who read Daddys flag. Miss Childs read prayers of woman. Meeting closing by repeating Mizpah.
