An [illegible] was given by Mrs Walland on there are the saloons of yesterday. Bringing out attention to facts that are reflecting. Where we would see saloons there are now industry of all kinds. Mrs. Richards read Gov. [illegible] wife of Pennsylvania [illegible] on the privilege of working for fallen humanity. If you are persecuted rejoice, when we are nobly engaged in His service and consider it a privilege. It was moved that the union would help if necessary to delay expense of peace meeting. Meeting closed in its usual way, there were 28 present. The May 19, 1925 meeting of the W.C.T.U. met with Mrs Alexander There were an unusual large number present After taking up the meeting the leader Mrs. Stoakes called for Sloane [illegible]. Way after which she called for scripture verses. Many precious promises were given and [illegible] upon. Sang the Worlds in Spring Day. Prayers were offered by Mrs Stricks, Hess, and Stoakes. The balance of the times was given over to Mr John Lincoln who gave us a very able address of the city's need. His main consideration was on the constructing and destruction in [illegible]. A short business session was held after which the hostess served dainty refreshments. A delightful as well as very profitable gathering.
