They were college students. Thirty were present - a goodly for a rainy day. The meeting was closed with the M[illegible]. Mrs. Richards, Sec. The June meeting was held at Mrs. T.J. Noel. A profitable meeting was held with about thirty present. After the president opened the meeting with a song Robert Lincoln gave a very loyal address on the American Flag. Crime is a stain on our flag. His exhortations on loyal [sic] to the the flag an [sic] for which it stands was very good and inspiring. Mrs. Spencer f[illegible] us with a well rendered solo on the Flag. Miss Nellie Lincoln was appointed captain at Westfield. Mrs. Hess reported 100 bouquets sent and text card accompanied. Fifty visits were made. Attention was called to the County Convention at Searsboro. Bills for ribbon and express charges were allowed amounting to 78 [cents] Miss Baily had charge of the program. Her subject was "The Flag" Miss Ruth Saunders recited The Flag and the country for which it stands. Mrs. Hall gave a short address of interest her husband being called away from home. We desire a [saloonless?] and stainless nation. The whole program associated the Flag and the country for which it stand[s]
