The March Meeting of the Women's Christian temperance Union was held at the home of Mrs. M. Hess March 15, 1921. The president, Mrs. Roft Lincoln presided Mrs. Fryhoff led the devotions reading from the 12th chap. of Romans. Special prayers were offered for our State president, Mrs. Ida B. {Hise?} Smith who so courageously used her influence against the phoning of the {Densey Timmey?} {fenize?} fight film in Des Moines Mar. 10th 1927. A special letter was read from Mrs. Smith gibing explanations and arguing that our Union send a speedy telegram to our representative at Des Moines to vote against the boxing shows. A splendid review of the life of Frances Millard was given by Mrs. {Leivir?} Sampson. It was decided that Mrs. Emma Bailey be kept as Volunteer Captain and she select all helpers that she needs. All were urged to get new members. Miss Jennie Bailey was selected to secure a place for the market day, Sat. April {16?} 1927. There were twenty-one present The meeting close with the usual benediction Anna Hudnutt, Sue P.S. Secretary's repot read and approved. Treasurer's '' '' ''accepted.
