Eddytown June 14th 1857 Henry Child Esq Dear Cousin Last March I gave you notice that at that time I could not procure a place for you to work & spend the summer Well that was all true at that time, But yesterday I saw one of the same men I then talked with & he spoke of you again & wished me to write to you learn whether you were fast property for the Summer or not if not he would like to know your terms as his man is sick & will not probably be able to perform much more labor for the season. Now if you would like to come out here & stay 4 or 5 months you may write soon & let me know
