Lyons Iowa Nov 21st 1871 Henry Child I have been ever since I came up trying to get your attys to do something in order to get [Cotes?] deposition they say they cannot attend to it next week on account of Court Wheeler says the case is in the District Court as I have kept no track of the suit I do not know I have finally persuaded them to write up their notice and I would take it and get Chase to accept service They seem to be dreadfully afraid of paying out car fare to Clinton and wanted to wait until they could catch Chase in Clinton Yours [illegible] The time is set for next Saturday at 1 Oclk P.M
