Philadelphia January the 2 1870 Dear Ite has ben a longe time Since I have wrote to you Wee have hade A Could fall December has not ben A Could monthe thare Is not Snow here now Wee have had to feede Cowes 3 monthes this fall up to this time 5 monthes more to feede yet this makes 8 monthes Our graine is goode this year I have got Ite A bout All thrashed I do ite with our Ould team and Josef haes machine I pay hime five dollars for the use of the machine Penaman is deade he diede the 8 of Dec 1868 I sould 3 hogs to Carthage for 178,78 I got 14 1/2 Dollars per hundurd Our Cowes made in the yeare of 1869 936.47 [illegible] of butter Sent to New york the first of December I sould 500, Dollars of Cowes in the Spring then I Sould Sheepe And Some Other Cattle for 225 Dollars last fall I Shall not Sell eny more Cowes untill fall or Next Spring of 1871 Wee Are All Well as usal Jame Skiner Not A Coming Weast this Winter his brother Is A going east this Winter I Cant tel eny thing A bout his coming In the Spring for I have not Seen him for more then One year Henry how Does you And the Dutchman get A long upe to this time Iff
