My dear Minnie
I just received your letter today. I had about made up my minde that if I wrote on my Sunday this time it would have to be without having read your letter but it got here any way. Even if at the last minute and it was very welcome I can assure you. I have just finished a letter to my other cousin and am nearly wrote out, so I may not write as long a letter as usual but Minn you hardly deserve any longer. I suppose you have finished Dickens. How did you like it? I liked it the best of all his books that I have read and I have most of them. I think [Agnes?] is the sweetest character in all the fiction I have read of the other books of D. I like "Bleak House" "Our Mutual Friend" & "Little Doritt" the best. "Great Expectations" is good too.I hope to hear that you are still improving write [soon?] I [illegible] a long [letter?]  I will close with much Love. Mell
