Class overlapped class in endless procession with a disconcerting array of daily themes and papers; with its inclusive program of subjects; its [bewilderment?] of innumerable pupils; its continual disorder and chaos; its problems of [dicipline?] - and what to do about them? It was truly too big an undertaking for anyone person unless he were made of steel. Every day I counted my money and the days left in the week and the month. Each Friday brought an all too short breathing spell and blessed relief. To face the school-room on Monday took all my courage for it was a cruel infliction all over again every single week. I endured this position one whole semester - but I could not stay on for the year. The stress and the strain were driving me mad. So entirely subdued but much wiser, I gladly resigned my position, took my "blood" money and went back to the University and my own work. I also took my degree with my class and there were even a few graduate credits left over towards an advanced degree. I took my Bachelor of Arts on the sixth of June and in eight days - the fourteenth - I was married and took [onto?] myself a husband.
