To my mind good hard work and clever footwork is far more commendable than this business of stupidly turning the other cheek to receive a token of high regard and insult as an admittance of inferiority and insensibility. Even rodents have a way of learning behaviorism wherein they take themselves and of situations that are unfavorable to them. But unfortunately there are some of us - sadists - who always return for another throw and are not happy unless we have something to feel sorry for ourselves about.
