Blakesburg Iowa Mar. 28th 1875 Mr Geo. S. Finney I recd by yesterdays mail your letter of the 19th inst. I am always glad to hear from you, in your letter you allude to the registered letter you recd from Lewis, it is a shame the letter he sent to me was registerd and was the most contemptable I ever saw. I am sure I done all I could to pay him off on his own Proposition, & I believe you done all you could to accomodate him.- The whole of this trouble and bad feeling may be traced to Frank & Ed the whole [thing?] was talked over between them and there Mother. She told me in there Presence that I had [strangld?] Lewis, that I would
