Well George, I want you to write to me, and say when you are coming home. It is now going on 4 years since you Left here. I wish you would make up your mind to come home this fall sure. I am certain you can make more money, and so better every way. I have now 24 head of cattle and I aught to have 50 for the amount of Pasture I have. If you come home I will give you a good chance and an interest in the stock. If you think you will not come, then let me know, and then I will make some other arrangement to carrying out my farm business. I have to much to look after. I do want to see you do sompthing for yourself while you have a chance. I dont think that you want to stay always out in the mountains. I saw Dr Stewart the other day, he made no enquiry after you at all. I dont think he is doing any business now. by the way a friend of mine oferd me a free Pass on the R. R. to St Louis to attend the Dem. Convention. I did think once I would go, but finally gave it up, so Emma and me went to Keokuk. how Geore I want you to write to me, and let me know whet you think you will do, all well from your Father &c S. G.
