Dec 17th 78 Stiles Davis Co. Iowa Mr Wilson. Dear Sir. I write this to you for information concerning my land I must get the loan of some money to pay off the notes you hold against me. I made application for a loan through Mr Stekle and he had made an Abstract and finds that my title is defective. Your Father, Ebenezer Wilson, has no deed on record for the 40 acres. (the 20 acres are all right) according to the recordr one Ward Samson had the Patent for the 40 acres, but there is nothing to show that he ever sold it to your Father. If you please explain all about this. And also I thing you told me that you got an ----------
