We are having the most beautiful weather here. This is warm and beautiful as May. Brackton Mass. Dec. 25" 1877 My Dear Bro. & Sister We were very glad some time ago to receive your letter full of such good news concerning yourself & family & your new home, I was considerably troubled when I first heard about your going to Kansas, but sometime before you started I was before the Lord in prayer for you & received a most blessed assurance in my own heart that the Lord would go with you & that it was his will for you to go. Since that time I have not doubted but he would take care of you. You may think strange of this & perceive being so difirinte, but since God came to me and heard me, my communion has been much more intimate and personal than ever before. Wonderful as it may seem yet it is true God comes to me at times and talks to me as friend to
