Algona April 27th My Dear Little Girl Two letters from you lie before me unanswered. Why? Because Mrs. Colby has been here a week and because I have been feeling poorly- have had lots of headaches- but am better today. My work drags slowly enough. One good job is done- the cellar is cleaned thoroughly, even to white -washing. Annie did it today. The weather remains so cold that nothing is done in the garden save sowing a few early peas.
