Saving...
The last week was quite active. We went through several drills that weren’t so nice, such as bayonette practice, the gas chamber, & firing of our rifles for the first time. On top of all that we got two shots for something. I don’t know what for but I do know the hurt. I’m still alive though. They don’t do anything in the army that will kill you but some things come pretty close to it. There are some good things about the army as well as the bad. In about two weeks we will be going on some hikes through the mts. & camp out at night. This should be fun. After the first thirteen weeks are over we will be over the worst of it.
