year old kids. Some of the serg. & corporals aren't any older than that. We work 50 minutes and rest ten out of every hour. Five men are assigned to a tent and we have to keep it clean and up in ship shape condition. I'm still wearing heavy woolen clothes down here in this hot weather. Hope they hurry up and give us our summer ones. Have to wear one of these "go to [illegible] caps" all the time. My face has been sunburnt and peeled of a half dozen times. Really will have a tan before long. The sun is so hot here that one can't stay out in it over an our without a shirt or will really be burn't. We get out in the evenings and play a little ball or go to a show. They have a large tent here that they have shows in and change shows every night. Maybe after while someone that I know will get sent down here As you probably know I was very glad to hear from you. Wish I could take you on for a game of tennis but with those new shorts of your I reckon I'd get beat. Wouldn't be able
