now and I'm about a 100 miles from where I was. Before we were out by the Naval Air Base on Lake near New Orleans. Left there spent the night at Baton Rouge and are now at Plaquemine La. Its a town of about 5,000 and is located 15 miles south of Baton Rouge. The coastal canal connects into the Miss. river here and they sent 30 fellows from our outfit up here to gaurd the locks and a couple of bridges. Now were staying in the Elks hall but think tomorrow we will move to a new place. It isn't bad here but the people think that there's nothing too good for us and so they want us to have the best. Don't know how
