Saving...
Camp. Dix. N.J. Jan. 12, 1942 Dear Evelyn, How is the gal by now? Still working hard as usual I imagine. You're been hearing from me pretty often lately but they keep changing my address and so I keep writing and letting about everyone know my new one. We finally got stopped traveling for awhile. Rode on the train for 3 day and two nights. We came thru St. Louis, Chicago, Pittsburg and Philadelphia but as we couldn't get off the train about all I saw of them were the railroad yards. We are located about 75 miles south of New York City, 30 to Philadelphia and 20 to Trenton. Don't suppose that I'll be here long enough to see much of any of these places though. I got a pass Sat. evening and went to New York City and came back Monday morning. Its' quite the town. Take a life time to see it all and I haven't got that much to spare. When I get out of the army I'll come back and see more
