the prisoners out and work them. They've got a big nigger up there who is in for murder and they are afraid that he will kill himself so have to use special care with him. I was supposed to take him out for an hours exercise. They hand cuffed his wrist to mine so he couldn't run away and another fellow followed me around with a sawed off shot gun.
