6/27/42 (2) Have you ever felt constrained to act or speak contrary to your beliefs or impulses? It's like the tangled web of deception; you get more & more involved & pretty soon you are agreeing to things with a smile when inside you are screaming "No! No!" or you put forth the wildest statements (1) It was so nice to be with you this week - but I wish we had it to do over. You said I had probably discovered your bad points; instead I learned my own. It was a salutary experience and I darned near went under. If I come through at all it will be thanks to your understanding & tolerance. You jokingly remarked you had 48 separate counts against me, & you are certainly justified.
