April 1906 Sun. 15. Cloudy & cold morn; fine PM about 56° max - Morning at church as usual; staid to Baraca class; Easter Vespers service by the choir 4 PM - house full. No Evening Service. Mon. 16. Frozen a little, Westerly breeze Fine day, 60° max - but cold SW wind. Not feeling very well. C in AM & PM about home at work after supper. Tues. 17. Fair spring morn, 45° S wind Fine day, 65° max. In garden morn & Evg. - Planted onion sets (18th) C. in AM only. Wed. 18. Same as yesterday and a little warmer. Burned rubbish &c Crocus begin to bloom C. in A.M. only. Uncovered strawberries appear to be in good shape. Thurs. 19. 50° cloudy, N.W. breeze. Fine day 68° Garden morn. & Evg. C. in A & PM Planted peas, onions & radish. Dinner at church. News of the appalling calamity yesterday at San Francisco. Fri. 20. Fair day, cool N.W. breeze. Streets dusty. About 65° to 70° max Garden morn & Evg. Schroda opened rose bushes, etc. PM Sat. 21. Cloudy morn. 50° & N.W. breeze Fine day, but cool. Garden morn. & Evg. Treated asparagus bed. 110+ - 3 for top coat = net 107+lbs.
