May, 1906. Sun. 20. Frost averted & growing warmer: - 67 or 68° max. Mostly cloudy, with light showers A.M. & evg. At meeting morn. & evg. Mon. 21. Fair, cool S.E. wind. Cool A.M. Max. about 75°. Rather busy; C. in P.M. - At Baraca class social at Powell's, Evg. - Re-planted melons. Tues. 22. Fair morn. Light sprinkles P.M. C. in P.M. Planted Gourds, & transplanted Wisteria vine, flower seeds, & Pole Beans. Wed. 23. Fair & hot; heavy showers began about 6 P.M. - C. in office & I out all A.M.; Hans Wold putting in water-meter with Entwisle to dig. Planted Evergreen corn, McLeans Little Gem Peas, & more vegetables & potatoes. Thurs. 24. Quite warm, with showers. C. in A.M. Supper at C. Pres. church, and Home after, setting sun-flowers, etc. Fri. 25. Cloudy & cooler, after more rain in night. But warm & fair P.M. - C. not in. We both went to Mrs. Reynolds to surprise supper birth-day. - Got Tomato Plants of T.W. David. Sat. 26 Warm & wet night, E. breeze. Rainy to-day & quite cold, only 46° P.M. & N.E. wind. - Very windy & rainy & cold. Evg. thunder & lightning.
