Mostly cloudy all day. warm - almost 60° - & gentle rain Out of office after 3:40, about grape vine &c Evg. Tues. 6. 49° & cloudy morn, & nearly all day. Mild, over 60° P.M. Out of office after 3:30 o'c. First General Election since 1904. out Evg. till 11:30. Wed. 7. Cloudy & mild & a little showery 53° Democratic gains large. Jackson beaten for Recorder by T.J. Collins. - Eye-ache P.M. C. in office P.M. Thurs. 8. Cloudy & damp morn. 47°. Barely 50° to-day. At home after 4 P.M. - C. in P.M. Dinner at C.P. church. Court re-convened. Fri. 9. 30° & frosty.
