December, 1906. Sun. 16. 16° morn., 32° max. N.W. fair. At meeting morning only. Left eye ache Evg. & all night - first severe since Nov. 7th. Mon. 17. 4° fair N.W. brisk. Cold all day. C. in P.M. - Home Evg. Varnished furniture Evg. Tues. 18. 1° - Clear, S.E. gtle. About 20° max. Fine day. - C. not in. Recording dull. Evg. at office till 10, abstracting &c. Wed. 19. 15° Fair, S. wind. 30° max. C. in P.M. - Lodge meeting Evg. Ground bare, & roads hard & smooth. Thurs. 20. 24° snowing gently. 31° max. Snowing softly all day - an inch or more. C. in office P.M. - I took supper at C.P. church. Fri. 21. 24° N.W. cloudy. Started coal fire in front room. Growing colder. A fine light snow P.M. Girls got home from Cedar Falls P.M.train via Postville. Sat. 22. 6° Fair N.W. - cold day - 10 or 12 max. C. in P.M.
