March, 1918 Sun. 3 27 to 45° fair S.E> wind wf. & I at church, morn. Mon. 4 35° fog & s. rain 46° Ho. 9. am the office evg. till most 10. Tues. 5 38° Fog. 4°; S Evg. N.W. C.H. & office 9 a.m. 9 p.m. Wed. 6 20° N.W.; Cloudy, evg. 18 clear Office & C.H. as usual Frozen very rough. Thurs. 7 17° S.W. fair; 43°. Work as usual. Very fine aurora all evg. Entwish and Overlu cut down the big white ash tree. Fri. 8 29° N.E., cloudy. Snow from 10:30; 34°. Office & C.H. as usual, & evg. Old spruce tree cut down Charlotte's club met with her. Sat. 9 27° Strong & shifty east wind, and sleet. 20°; 10°. noon lunch down town. N.W. blizzard p.m.& evg clearing Tapped 2 maples, morn. coal fire went out night of 8th - first since starting Dec 9th. - Re-started 9th.
