Sweet corn of Robertson - July-Aug., 1918 Sun. 28 Fair but threatening. S. Easterly. 86°. Cooler, evg Clara & I at ch. morn (she played) & N. & her mother evg. - Rev. Kinsman preaching again. Mon. 29 Fair, N. 75° Garden morn. & evg. Tues. 30 49° clear, N. - Fair N.E. v. gtle. 74° max. Nagel put in 3500# hard coal. Garden morn. Wed. 31 50 to 77°, N.E. to S. gtle. Very fine harvest weather Spading morn.; hoeing evg. Thurs. 1 August Cloudy & cold A.M. 82°and very fine N.W. to S. P.M. Has sweet corn; "Peep p' Day," & "Bantam" better. Planted same day. out to Henry [Stroptes?] after early supper, to sign deed. He pretty sick. Fri. 2 Cloudy am & cold East wind Fine again P.M. 76° Spading morn. Mowing Evg. Sat. 3 Fair. S.E. 83° Garden and office as usual
