Mon. 12 Fair, southerly, 94° Garden morn; mowing Evg. E. & N. Tues. 13 Partly cloudy, northerly 90°; cooler towards evg. Garden morn. Wed. 14 Fair morn; cloudy. P.M. Northerly, 84° Garden morn. Mowed evg. (W) Thurs. 15 Fair morn., rainy p.m. S. Easterly, 75° spading morn. Head-ache evg. & all night. Fri. 16 Rain in night, a.m. & part p.m. S. Easterly 70°. Head-ache wearing off P.M. Too wet for outdoor work. Sat. 17 Rain in night, & some a.m. & S.Easterly, 72° At wood, morn. Too wet [cog?] Mr. Robertson fell & broke his hip.
