Abstracting, mostly, evg. too. Tues. 29 Rainy morn. fair evg, N.W. 51 clear abstracting Wed. 30. P.O. safe blown open 2:00 a.m. - nothing taken. Heavy white frost; 34° and misty dark day; only 41°. Office most all the time. Thurs. 31. Cloudy, N.W. with snow & rain showers. 36° max. Clara returned to Chas. City - as "flu." quarantine to be raised Sun. Abstracting etc. Fri. 1 November 25 to 42°, Fair, N.W. Office mostly; a little abstracting. Sat. 2 28 to 52°, mainly fair, S. Garden till 10:30. Then office as usual.
