Sun. 8 Considerable sunshine, N.W. gtle. - 75° max. Kelly boys went home Clara & I at children's day exercises morn. School sermon evg. at Ger. Ch. & none of us out. 

Mon. 9 Fair till evg. rainy 8° max. th. shower Garden morn. & evg. - Sprayed pota. [thorsly?] with lead arsenate & bordeaux, & plowed. Clyde Kelley mowed 2 hrs. 70c. - Abstg. mostly.

Tues. 10 Fair & warm morn Heavy th. shower 1 p.m. southerly winds Busy. & wrote Letters [illegible] evg.

Wed. 11 more th. showers in night and two sharp ones P.M. 83° in between. S.E. winds to N.W. after shower. Evg. office a while

Thurs. 12 Fair, S.E. again. 84° or 85° & sharper thunder shower 5 p.m. Trimming [maples?] morn. Office evg. a while

Fri. 13 Fair and continued S.E. warm 86° or +, & threatening, but no rain. Garden morn. & evg. Picked a handful of strawberries.

Sat. 14 Fair S.E. gtle. (or S.W.) 85° second day without actual rain Garden morn & evg. (plowed). Abstracting. Picked a box & more.
