Tues. 5 Fair, N.W. 50 to 71° Gathered beets & carrots a.m. about 3 pecks all. Ins. P.M. Wed. 6 Fair, S.W. 43 to 70° Jas. T. Metcalf called. Trimmed Whitney apple morn. & Peterson put new grate in stove. Thurs. 7 Still fine; S. 44 to 72°. Not doing much. Headache. Fri. 8 Nice summer day 50 to 76° S A little abstract work. Picking a little handful of Strawberrie every 2 or 3 days. Sat. 9 Another fine day; 52 to 79° S. gtle. Fixing spouts morn., Ins. P.M.
