Tuesday Much such a day as yesterday only strong SW wind all day, making it seem as cool tho' Mer stood 50°+ at noon, & rose to 53°+ 2 o,c, & 40°+ at 6.30 o,c. I spent day mostly at home, tho' in at Rose's two or three times, talking of attending "Rosette Festival' made up mind not to go till after supper & with Geo- & Rose, which did & all enjoyed the entertainment very much. March 26 Some rain fell last night but cleared up this AM, making nice day for drying clothes, Lena washing, & wanting to go home this eve for few days having heard of death of her niece, she did cooking in PM, I worked in kitchen some of course, in at May S-'s of errand in PM & went with Lizzie S- to M Society at B Hall to [illegible], she stayed with me all night.
