April, 1900. Sun. 29. Mostly cloudy, warm. S windy Sprinkle of rain 4 P.M & cleared off cold, N.W. At ch. morn & evg. Mon. 30. Fair, & quite cool morn. a little frost - [illegible] Very busy, closing up deal with T. J. Fish for 80 a. Kroger land. - Down a while evg. Tues. 1. May. Cool, Fair morn. Quite warm P.Ms. Planted Potatoes. All had breakfast at M & ch. - Sent Kroger-Fish land papers to Judge Fellows. Mowed; & [illegible], evg. Wed. 2. Cold again, morn, & all day. Finished trimming Raspberries. - Nice [illegible] asparagus - Also Rhubarb. Nost so busy. C in P.M. Using lawn hose after supper. Thurs. 3. Quite a freeze. N. W. clear. 33'. Set out 3 Roses. - C in office P.M. & I finishing up land sale matter. - Rainy after 3 30 Snowed from 6 to 7, remaining on ground & walks as slush. Fri. 4. 32' Frozen slush on ground & walks quite a while this morn. Fair, N.W. Cleaned out shed loft, morn. Puttering with hose, etc, after supper. - Rather busy office. Sat. 5. Heavy frost & ice. Clear & still. Up early & sprayed the fruit trees etc - Pleasant & cool all day. - Very busy office till 10 P.M - C in P.M. De Soto in full bloom.
