AUGUST, 1900. SUN. 26. Fair at church morn & Evg. Quite warm [Froze?] [cream?] MON. 27. Fair. [Telara?], Harriet & I on 8:30 train, [illegible] excursion to Chicago, arriving 6:20 P.M. - Fine trip. TUES. 28. Down town with [illegible] & at Humboldt Park a while. All over to Lincoln Park P.M., up in Ferris wheel, & Electric [illegible] Evg. WED. 29. Attending to matter in criminal court, for 1st National Bank, & up in Masonic Temple P.M. - out to the chutes, Evg. - In Board of Trade a while. THURS. 30. Attending to purchase of type-writer for Larson, a.m. - out on the lake nearby two hours P.M. and at Battle of Santiago, Evg. FRI. 31. Down to Jackson Park, am back to town 4 P.M., out [home?] [illegible] sup & Clyde & Leonard down to train with us 9:30. SAT. 1. SEPTEMBER.- Home 11 a.m. - a very enjoyable trip & fine weather throughout. - Busy in office P.M. & down town Evg.
