Monday 26 July 1943 Good Evening Dearest Just back - well about three hours ago - from a flight up over Waco. I thought of Ralph Babcock but couldn't think of any reason for calling for a landing there. Since I sent you two of 222 I think it must be an extra. Hang onto it though and if I missed Edwin Hadley you'll no doubt hear from him about it. Yes, hon, I think we understand each other well. I believe I would react much as you were you to try that coy jealousy-raising act that some women think is irresistible. Actually its just the opposite.
