Sunday 11 July 1943 Dearest: Here it is Sunday morning.... and a little free time. My pen being at the classroom I'll write in pencil presuming that you won't be too fussy as to the manner in which my message is delivered. I haven't had a letter from you since the one dated last Monday which arrived Thursday. I hope there'll be a pile of (been to chow & picked up my pen) letters on Monday for me.
