this morning when Frank went out to start off and he tried to come to the door where I was telling him to be a gentle good fellow and he will lay his head down against me when I pet him. But I guess that's enough news about our horse. Now about this child. I could not go to the New Years dinner. Frank went though and they [illegible] [illegible] to serve three plates heaped full of nice things and I enjoyed it so. I forgot to have the [heart?] [illegible] that night. The reason I could not go I fell down the day before and hurt myself [In the margin at the top] but I feel better now. We were frightened about it at first. We are looking for Baby's picture. Tell Laura not to forget to send it to us. Frank & [Liz?]
