Des Moines Iowa, Oct 19th 1866 My Dear Sister Em, This bright beautiful morning I will write to you with many apologies for past negligence which I will consider pardoned and will once more commence a correspondence which I hope should still be [benifited?] Mr and Mrs Smith have made us a visit of one week and yesterday left for their home in [illegible].and now we are ready for Pa Ma & Em Come and we will sleep together Minnie is my room mate part of the time
